Our History

In October, 2005, the Network of African Descendant Ministers International (NADMI), a ministry co-founded by Dr. Veronica Amaku and her husband, Dr. Samuel Amaku, had her 1st International Prayer Conference. The whole experience left her bathing in the euphoria of the presence of the Lord for several weeks.

One morning a few weeks later, while worshipping the Lord, she heard the Lord say, "Gather the women together to me for a time in the word and in prayer". Being a woman who understands authority in the home, she told the Lord that her husband had to agree, hence if the assignment was from Him, her husband's approval would be a confirmation. Sure enough, a few days later. she brought up the idea to her husband. She had hardly finished her request, when he said, "Go for it, my wife". She later emailed her friend, Esther Ephraim, an attorney and one of the international coordinators of the Wailing Women, Worldwide, to pray about being the main speaker at the conference. Esther responded 2 weeks later, "I am coming. I got two confirmations." Dr. Amaku received her final confirmation about the gathering during a Chuck Pierce meeting hosted by Deborah DeGar in Houston.

That was how Daughter, Arise! was born.
