''I have piped to you, and you have not danced...'' (matthew 11:16-24)
To the 21st century Body of Christ write:
“These are the words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the ruler of God's creation. I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth. You say, 'I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.' But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked. I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see. Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest, and repent. Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me. To him who overcomes, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I overcame and sat down with my Father on his throne."
What does God need to do to make us fully committed to Him?
What is holding us back from giving Him our all?
What more do we want God to do for us, show us, etc. in order to prove His love to us?
In what ways do we reciprocate His love?
He has piped to us and we have not danced.
He has wooed us over and over again, and we have not responded.
We have tangible evidences of Him. We have mind–boggling testimonies depicting His love towards us.
Yet, we have not totally surrendered all our being.
We are self-centered, always concerned about ourselves.
We have not developed passion for His desires.
We only come to God for what we want.
We seek God for His favor so He can bless us more than the other brother or sister.
We want to be the greatest, to be served and to be lord over our brethren.
You must remember that God made you, who you are, placed you where you are and gave you all you have so you can use them for His Kingdom and for His people; not for your personal benefit.
· God called Abraham, and blessed him, so that he can raise generations of people who seek God.
· God called Joseph and made him Prime Minister in Egypt for His own purposes: to nurture Israel in a safe environment where they will live for 400 years undisturbed from the atrocities of the Canaanites, and become a nation.
· God made Moses an adopted son of Pharaoh. Moses, being sheltered from slavery grew up in the king's palace where he was prepared to boldly face Pharaoh and ask for the release of God's people.
· God established David as king over Israel and exalted his kingdom for the sake of His people, Israel.
The list goes on and on, but the questions remain:
Has God blessed you for your personal benefit?
Did God put you in a privileged position because you are better than your brothers or sisters?
Where is your heart? Where is your allegiance? Is your will aligned to God's will?
Does your plan fit into God's, or do you want His plan to fit into yours?
God wants to transform our world to His kingdom standard but will we let Him do it?
Are we not holding Him back from fully releasing His anointing through us?
Can God trust us?
Can God commit eternal things into our hands?
Are we like dogs or swine that God cannot trust us with holy things?
Can God commit His pearls into our hands?
Do we fully appreciate the value of the price our Master paid for eternity?
Are we misusing kingdom opportunities for personal gains?
Are we serving Him for our bellies?
Woe to you Brother X! Woe to you sister Y! Woe to you minister Z!
Had the revelations, encounters, miracles, testimonies, etc. that you have, had been given to the ignorant non-believer, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes; but I tell you, it will be more tolerable for that ignorant one on the day of judgment than for you.
He that has an ear let him hear what the Spirit is saying to the body of Christ. God help us.
